Amidst the carnage, they find a survivor.
Review: It’s hard to pinpoint what genre this movie falls into: action, thriller, horror, all of the above, none of the above. The movie features the best of all these genres: a fast pace and dynamic directing, a tense, claustrophobic atmosphere and gritty, no-nonsense characters, peppered with an overwhelming sense of doom and a few genuinely frightening moments. One of the movie’s strong points is the fact that the horror scenes are handled in a subtle, understated kind of way, without relying on CGI or fake blood. It also manages to avoid the pitfalls of cheap scares and cheesy dialog (so sadly abundant these days in horror movies).
Zombie Points:
4 ZOMBIE Points, Nazi ZOMBIES?? Awesome idea.

Dawn of the dead (2004)

Director: Zack Snyder
George A. Romero – James Gunn
Cast: Sarah Polley (Ana), Ving Rhames (Kenneth), Jake Weber (Michael), Mekhi Phifer (Andre), Ty Burrel (Steve), Michael Kelly (CJ), Inna Korobkina (Luda), Lindy Booth (Nicole)
Synopsis: Ana wakes up to find the world is coming to an end, a strange virus is making people aggressive flesh-eating ZOMBIES, she take refuge in a shopping mall with a policeman, a married couple and a sales man, what’s  next?
Review: Dawn of the Dead is a 2004 horror remake of George A. Romero’s 1978 film of the same name. The remake and original both depict a handful of human survivors living in a shopping mall surrounded by swarms of zombies, but the details differ significantly. ZOMBIES, BLOOD, SCREAMS and stupid people making stupid choices at the wrong time make this movie really great.
Zombie Points:
4 ZOMBIE Points to this nice remake, I think a little bit more of blood could and gore could make this movie even greater.

4 ZOMBIE POINTS for the gore scenes.
